nearing december's end...

haven't noticed many "pings" coming from little boy rains the last two days, so i bopped into the doc's office and they got out the magic heartbeat stick just to ease my mind before the weekend came. sure enough - 150 bpm and wavin around in there like he was on a macy's thanksgiving day parade float. he'd rest, then move around and his heartbeat would go up. i love the ladies that work in that office. she let me just sit there and listen for as long as i wanted. i think i want to ask for one of those magic sticks for my bday just to listen every day :)

tonight we (tyler, julie, andy) celebrated xmas with my mama--the whole shebang: ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes (my fav), green beans, cherry and pumpkin pies. loved every minute of it. i'm still having a hard time with beef due to my little move-in friend on the inside, but i definately conquered tonight's meal and it was AWESOME.
we laughed all night long. the gifts we exchanged were to die for. helpful ones, funny ones, cute little person ones... seems as if everyone has caught baby fever during the holidays. baby rains is in for a TREAT! i'm super excited to use my "baby bullet" to make baby food and check this collection of shoes at gestational age 19 weeks!





the boys thought it would be a hilarious fun game to see if they could push their bellies out to be like gina's belly. i found this out after looking through the photos from this evening... lucky for them they're out watching tv while i'm blogging in the office or i'd have to pinch them...

last weekend we had xmas in york with dad and cindi. cindi's kids were there too - it was a really nice time. unfortunately xmas was my holiday to work at the hospital, so we didn't get to stay all night, but had a great time while we were there. it's a one-in-a-million that tyler will let me snap a photo of "us" in the car, so i take what i can get... he's so handsome :)

we were showered with many nice things, including baby stuff for mr. drop.
